Presales Engineer
About Qevlar AI
Qevlar is a B2B SaaS startup that strives to massively increase the productivity of cybersecurity teams. We develop AI Cybersecurity Analysts that augment Security Operations Centers (SOCs). Since our creation 2 years ago, we have:
Raised €14 million in seed funding led by EQT Ventures and Forgepoint Capital
Been incubated both by Microsoft (genAI studio) and Meta (AI program)
Deployed our solution to Global 500 companies and leading MSSPs in EMEA and NA (Equans, Nomios, Globalconnect, Almond)
We’re now looking for a Sales Engineer (Presales) to be the technical backbone of our sales team and help us drive high-impact customer engagements across EMEA.
What will you do
As a Sales Engineer, you’ll partner closely with Account Executives to shape technical strategy, deliver compelling demos, and lead Proof of Value (POV) projects that demonstrate tangible impact. You’ll work directly with SOC teams, understand their tool stacks, and help them adopt Qevlar’s AI SOC agent with confidence.
Your responsibilities will include:
Core Responsibilities
Support Account Executives throughout the entire sales cycle as the technical point of contact
Deliver tailored, story-driven demos adapted to each customer’s SOC environment
Scope, lead, and execute end-to-end POVs, demonstrating measurable impact (MTTR reduction, accuracy uplift, analyst-hours saved)
Build trust with technical evaluators and decision-makers
Analyze customer SOC architectures (SIEM, XDR, EDR, cloud, identity, network)
Map Qevlar’s capabilities to customer workflows and identify potential blockers early
Run hands-on technical sessions (API integration, investigation flows, architecture deep dives)
Address questions around AI explainability, data privacy, compliance, and deployment
Act as the voice of the field for Product & Engineering, contributing to demos, playbooks, and integration guides
Stay up to date on SOC trends, threat evolution, and AI advancements
Who you are
We’re seeking someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, combines autonomy with strong collaboration, and can translate complex technical topics into clear value for customers.
Requirements
3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, ideally inside a SOC or in presales for SIEM/XDR/SOAR
Strong understanding of alert triage, incident response, and SOC workflows
Comfortable working with enterprise and MSSP environments
Experience leading technical customer interactions (workshops, troubleshooting, POVs)
Familiarity with SIEM platforms
Familiarity with EDR/XDR stacks (CrowdStrike, Defender, SentinelOne, etc.)
Solid understanding of SOAR / IR workflows
Hands-on experience with APIs, JSON, Postman, and basic scripting (Bash, Python, or PowerShell)
Cloud concepts (GCP, Azure, AWS) and basic networking
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build technical champions
Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience
